What is Cement

Cement is a fine, powder-like binding material. When mixed with water, it undergoes a chemical reaction called hydration and gradually hardens over time. Due to this property, cement binds sand, gravel, and bricks together to form strong structures.
A mixture of cement, sand, and water forms mortar, which is used for bonding bricks or stones and for plastering. A mixture of cement, sand, gravel, and water forms concrete, which is used in the construction of slabs, pillars, beams, and other structural elements.
